Scope of Works
Towergate Underwriting made their presence felt within Central London by taking a prestigious 8 story building off Fenchurch Street. The brief for this project was to provide an office with a contemporary 'city feel'.
Crisp sourced both rich and unusual contrasting veneers to create bespoke furniture for the executive level. The desks, boardroom and meeting tables were constructed in santos rosewood with macassar ebony borders and black inlays, a very traditional feel of furniture with a contemporary twist.
Several floors within the building are screened with full height curved walls, providing privacy to the open plan staff situated adjacent to the lifts. The executive level has that something 'a little special', a partial radial wall constructed from hand carved glass that curves in both elevation and height giving the appearance of wind blowing into a yacht sail. This unique piece is illuminated with colour changing led lights that are recessed within the floor, providing a minimalist feel.
Prior to completion of this project the client purchased the building next door in Mitre Street where we were then instructed to carry the design through to the next building.
