Scope of Works
LeasePlan, the world's largest fleet management service provider, took occupation of its five floor UK HQ in 1979. Whilst the company had grown and flourished its office interior had not and a total refurbishment was required to reflect this dynamic modern company.
Taking place whilst the 500 employees remained at their desks, the refurbishment required careful planning and execution. Crisp's planning and design team worked closely with LeasePlan for almost a year to ensure every design detail was considered before the works began.
A fifteen phase works programme spanning nine months ensured the works went to plan. Crisps successful management resulted in no 'down time', nor business interruption and most importantly to LeasePlan, no customer opportunity missed whilst the works took place.
The open plan areas were 'energised' with new lighting, carpet and furniture. Frameless glass partitions allowed natural light to flood into the once drab central meeting rooms, as well as through the perimeter cellular offices into the open plan areas.
The existing tea stations and service hubs, once separate spaces, were brought together into one open area which created a central focus to each floor. Staff praised the vibrant material colours used, which was subtly replicated throughout the project, pulling the whole colour scheme together.
The Reception with its full height atrium & glass facade, received particular attention. A fifteen metre high LeasePlan banner and manifestation to the glass lift shaft were installed to their detailed specification. Opaque glass sections were installed into the open balustrade staircase and a bespoke curved glass section suspended from the top floor wrapped around an existing spiral staircase.
At the users level all the Reception furniture was replaced and a bespoke Reception desk, Media and Trophy wall installed. Accent materials of Maple veneer and Orange textured glass combined with slate flooring, polished plaster walls and an individually designed lighting scheme created a breath taking environment.
